This set of photos illustrates the interaction between water – each stable and liquid – and leaves – on, above, and beneath the floor of the water. Protecting early autumn to early winter, they spotlight the gestures and contrasts present in nature as one season transitions to the subsequent.
These photos are a subset of a bigger assortment I discuss with as “groundscapes”. They symbolize an evolution within the topics which have resonated with me over time – from the grand panorama to intimate landscapes and, lastly, extra summary landscapes. As my curiosity within the summary has developed, I’ve discovered that I more and more level my digicam “down” on the earth, relatively than “out” on the earth, as there are whole worlds, actually at our ft.
